Delta Air Lines Secures Top Honors at 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards

Delta Air Lines has once again demonstrated its industry leadership by winning two prestigious Skytrax World Airline Awards: Best Airline in North America and Best Airline Staff. This marks the fourth consecutive year Delta has claimed the title of Best Airline in North America and the third consecutive year for Best Airline Staff.

Recognition of Excellence

The World Airline Awards, held annually in the U.K., are among the most prestigious accolades in the global airline industry, celebrating excellence based on traveler votes through the Skytrax World Airline Survey. This survey is the largest of its kind, reflecting the experiences and opinions of millions of travelers worldwide.

Ralph Albus, Delta’s Director of Global Communications EMEAI, highlighted the significance of these awards, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to delivering exceptional travel experiences. Albus noted that the recognition from Skytrax is particularly meaningful as it reflects the appreciation of Delta’s 200 million annual customers for the airline’s consistent service quality.

Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, extended congratulations to Delta, acknowledging the airline’s impressive achievement of maintaining its status as the Best Airline in North America for four consecutive years. Plaisted also praised Delta’s staff for their outstanding service, which has earned them the Best Airline Staff Service award in North America.

A Year of Accolades

These Skytrax awards add to Delta’s impressive list of honors in 2024. The airline has also been recognized with the Air Transport World Best Airline 2024 Award, named The Points Guy’s ‘Best U.S. Airline’ for the sixth time since 2018, and honored as BTN’s ‘Best Airline for Business Travelers’ for 13 consecutive years. Additionally, Delta earned a spot on Fortune’s ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ and topped the J.D. Power 2024 North America Airline Satisfaction Study for First/Business and Premium Economy Passenger Satisfaction.

These accolades underscore Delta’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the airline industry, reinforcing its reputation as a leading global carrier.
