Revealed: These are the Countries that Export the Most Goods and Services, 2024
According to the latest statistics from the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), China’s exports were valued at almost US$3.7 trillion in 2023, making it the world’s top exporter that year. China’s primary exported goods are electronics and other machinery, and significant imported goods are electronics, including integrated circuits and other computer components.
Interestingly, of the top 10 leading exporting countries, four are from Asia, five from Europe, and one from North America. The United States was the second largest exporter globally, with export value exceeding US$3 trillion in 2023. Germany is the 3rd largest exporter worldwide, in addition to being the largest economy in Europe and the world’s 4th largest economy. The top 5 trading partners with Germany in 2022 were China, the United States, the Netherlands, France, and Poland. The top 5 destinations for exports from the United States are: Canada, Mexico, China, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
