Dawn Allen Succeeds Tobias Hestler as CFO of Haleon

Consumer healthcare firm Haleon (HLN.L) announced on Wednesday the appointment of Dawn Allen as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective November 1st. Allen, at the age of 55, currently serves as CFO at British food ingredients maker Tate & Lyle (TATE.L) and succeeds Tobias Hestler in the role.

The change in CFO leadership comes less than two months after Haleon unveiled its ambitious plan to repurchase $622.2 million worth of its shares this year, a move aimed at reducing debt and optimizing its capital structure. Hestler, 52, formerly CFO of GSK’s consumer wing and a key figure since the inception of Haleon, has been succeeded by Allen as the company sets its sights on further growth and financial stability.

Haleon, known for household brands such as Sensodyne toothpaste and Advil painkillers, was established following the spin-out of British drugmaker GSK (GSK.L) in July 2022. Born out of the merger between GSK and Pfizer’s (PFE.N) consumer healthcare businesses in 2019, Haleon has emerged as a prominent player in the consumer healthcare sector. Both GSK and Pfizer have gradually divested their stakes in Haleon since its formation, with Pfizer remaining the largest shareholder in the London-listed firm.

As Dawn Allen assumes her new role at the helm of Haleon’s financial operations, the company remains committed to its growth trajectory, leveraging its renowned brands and strategic initiatives to deliver value to its shareholders and consumers alike.
