Corbion Appoints Peter Kazius as CFO, Ensuring Continued Financial Leadership
Corbion has announced the nomination of Peter Kazius to succeed Eddy van Rhede van der Kloot as Chief Financial Officer of the company. Pending his appointment at the annual general meeting of shareholders (AGM) on May 15, 2024, Kazius will join Olivier Rigaud, CEO, to form Corbion’s Board of Management. Van Rhede van der Kloot, who has served as CFO and member of Corbion’s Board of Management and Executive Committee since 2014, will transition out of his role after the upcoming AGM.
Mathieu Vrijsen, Chair of the Supervisory Board, expressed confidence in Kazius’s appointment, citing his proven track record in driving results. Vrijsen also extended gratitude to van Rhede van der Kloot for his significant contributions to Corbion’s profitability and growth over the years.
Kazius brings with him 25 years of finance leadership experience in the food industry, having held positions at esteemed companies such as Kerry, PepsiCo, and Unilever. His journey with Corbion began in 2014, where he has demonstrated exceptional performance in various finance and business leadership roles, including Senior Finance Director for the Food business unit and Vice President of Group Finance. Currently, Kazius serves as Senior Vice President of Investor Relations, Corporate Development, and M&A at Corbion.
Van Rhede van der Kloot reflected on his tenure, expressing pride in Corbion’s progress and welcoming Kazius as his successor, with whom he has worked closely for many years.
CEO Olivier Rigaud acknowledged van Rhede van der Kloot’s dedication and leadership, emphasizing his instrumental role in Corbion’s journey. Rigaud expressed eagerness to collaborate with Kazius to continue advancing Corbion’s objectives.
Kazius’s appointment signifies Corbion’s commitment to maintaining strong financial stewardship and strategic leadership as it continues to innovate and create value for stakeholders in the food industry.
