Nick Harris Appointed CEO of Gallagher’s UK & Ireland Retail Division
Gallagher has announced the appointment of Nick Harris as the CEO of its UK & Ireland Retail Division, pending regulatory approval. Harris brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous role as CEO of Marsh’s Pacific Division, which he assumed following Marsh’s acquisition of JLT in 2019. Prior to this, Harris held various c-suite positions at JLT in the Pacific region.
Scheduled to join Gallagher in July of this year, Harris will report to Michael Rea, CEO of Gallagher’s UK business, overseeing Gallagher Specialty and Pen Underwriting alongside UK & Ireland Retail.
Michael Rea expressed confidence in Harris’s leadership abilities, highlighting his commercial acumen and natural leadership qualities. Rea emphasized Harris’s role in driving continued growth and maintaining Gallagher’s positive culture, which is fundamental to the company’s operations.
Reflecting on his appointment, Harris expressed enthusiasm for joining Gallagher and praised the organization’s unique reputation among large brokers. He emphasized his commitment to building upon Gallagher’s strong track record of organic growth and successful acquisitions.
Acknowledging the importance of regional expertise in serving clients, Harris underscored the critical role of Gallagher’s offices across the UK & Ireland. He expressed eagerness to engage with regional teams to better understand how they support clients and deliver tailored solutions.
