It is no secret that the business world is primarily dominated by men. Only 84 companies out of the Fortune 500 list are run by women. In this report, we have gathered stories of 12 women leaders who hold the highest salaries in the world. Julie Sweet, the CEO of Accenture, emerged as the highest-paid woman CEO in 2023 with a compensation of $34 million. Lisa Su, the CEO of AMD, received $30 million in compensation in 2023 and is the second-highest-paid woman CEO.

Mary Barra, the CEO of General Motors, received $29 million this year. She is the first female CEO of a ‘Big Three’ automaker. Adena Friedman, the CEO of NASDAQ, received a total compensation of $28 million in 2023. She was formerly a managing director and CFO of The Carlyle Group. Phebe Novakovic, CEO of General Dynamics, received $21 million in compensation in 2023. Prior to General Dynamics, she worked at the United States Department of Defense.

Lynn Good, the CEO of Duke Energy, received $21 million in 2023. Before joining Duke Energy, she worked with Arthur Anderson & Co. and Cinergy Corporation. Gail Boudreaux, the CEO of Elevance Health, received $21 million in compensation in 2023.

Kathy Warden, the CEO of Northrop Grumman, received $21 million this year. She has previously worked for General Electric, held executive roles at Veridian Corporation and General Dynamics. Carol Tome, the CEO of UPS, received a compensation of $19 million in 2023. Tome has been named twice to the Forbes list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.
