Bandhan Bank Names Rajeev Mantri as CFO; Abhijit Ghosh Transitions to Head of Finance & Accounts

Bandhan Bank Limited has approved the appointment of Rajeev Mantri as the Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of the bank, effective February 22, 2024. Consequently, Abhijit Ghosh concludes his role as the interim CFO and KMP.

Abhijit Ghosh assumed the position of Interim CFO and KMP on October 20, 2023, succeeding Sunil Samdani, who resigned from the CFO position in July of the previous year. Ghosh will retain his position as Head of Finance & Accounts and remain part of the bank’s Senior Management.

Rajeev Mantri brings extensive experience to his new role, with over 25 years in banking and finance across India, Singapore, and the UAE. He held key positions at global institutions such as Standard Chartered and Citi. Mantri is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI India and holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD Business School, Singapore.

His most recent role was CFO for the Citi India cluster for three years. Previously, he served as CFO at TransUnion CIBIL Limited, India’s largest credit bureau, and held senior finance positions at Standard Chartered Bank for over 15 years in India and Singapore. Additionally, Mantri has experience with Mashreqbank in the UAE, where he led the Finance function for their Corporate and Investment banking business.
