Richard Cohen to Replace Jean-Pierre Lapointe as CFO of Northeast Bank
Northeast Bank (NASDAQ: NBN) has announced the appointment of Richard Cohen as its Chief Financial Officer, effective February 1, 2024. This move comes in succession to the departure of the current Chief Financial Officer, Jean-Pierre Lapointe.
Richard Cohen, 51, brings a wealth of experience to the Bank, having served as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Grey Matter Thinking, a professional services business specializing in banking since 2008. His prior roles include being a Partner in KPMG’s Financial Services Practice in Johannesburg and London.
Cohen holds two Bachelor’s degrees, a Master’s degree in Commerce, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting. He is also a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) and a CFA Charterholder.
Northeast Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Wayne expressed confidence in Cohen, citing his impressive background in the financial services industry. Wayne welcomed Cohen to the team and anticipates his valuable contributions to the Bank.
