Yerkin Tatishev and Kusto Group donate 100 million to Kazakh language
In a resounding commitment to advancing the Kazakh language, Kusto Group, under the leadership of Chairman Yerkin Tatishev, has announced a contribution of 100 million tenge to the QAZAQ TILI Endowment Qory.
The move underscores the company’s dedication to Kazakhstan, where it was founded in 2002.
Yerkin Tatishev, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Kusto Group, views the donation as a strategic investment in the cultural and linguistic heritage of Kazakhstan. His commitment to the development of the Kazakh language aligns with Kusto Group’s broader efforts to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.
“We support the efforts of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to ensure the sustainable and long-term development of the Kazakh language and, in particular, the Kazakh Tili society,” he stated.
“It is a great honor for us, citizens of the country, to make a feasible contribution to the development of the Kazakh language as a key factor. We call on the business community to support this noble initiative,” Yerkin Tatishev added.
What happens to Kusto Group’s donation to QAZAQ TILI Endowment Qory?
The QAZAQ TILI Endowment Qory represents a crucial initiative by the Kazakh Tili society, the country’s largest organization dedicated to supporting and developing the state language.
What sets this endowment apart is its unique approach, where contributed funds are not expended but rather managed and invested. The returns from these investments are then directed towards the objectives outlined by the beneficiary organization.
To ensure transparency and accountability, an independent board of trustees, consisting of respected public figures, linguistic scholars and government representatives, will oversee the funds of the endowment.
This mechanism aims to guarantee that the resources are utilized effectively in alignment with the outlined goals.
The income generated from the endowment’s investments will be channeled into the form of grants. These grants will support the Kazakh Tili society in its endeavors to enhance language usage, modernize linguistic frameworks and foster the continued development of the Kazakh language.
By creating a sustainable financial model, the endowment ensures a long-term impact on the initiatives aimed at enriching and expanding the scope of the Kazakh language.
