Saori Casey Succeeds Eddie Lazarus as Sonos CFO
Sonos, Inc. (Nasdaq: SONO) has announced Saori Casey will join the Executive Team as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective January 22, 2024. Casey will oversee financial, accounting, real estate, technology, and investor relations. Eddie Lazarus, the current CFO, will transition to Chief Strategy Officer while retaining the role of Chief Legal Officer.
In his new role as Chief Strategy Officer, Eddie Lazarus will lead strategic planning, corporate development, and sustainability efforts alongside his responsibilities as Chief Legal Officer. Lazarus expressed gratitude for his time as CFO, looking forward to collaborating with Casey for a smooth transition and focusing on long-term strategies to position Sonos for success.
With over 30 years of corporate finance experience, Casey spent nearly 13 years as Vice President of Finance at Apple. Previously, during her 15-year tenure at Cisco, she held multiple finance leadership roles across operations, sales, R&D, FP&A, M&A, and systems, contributing significantly to the company’s revenue growth from $4 billion to over $40 billion. Casey also serves on the board of Houzz, chairing the Audit Committee and serving on the Compensation Committee.
Sonos CEO Patrick Spence expressed enthusiasm about Casey’s appointment, citing her extensive experience at Apple and Cisco. Spence highlighted her addition alongside recent executive appointments, foreseeing a strong leadership team to drive Sonos towards becoming the leading sound experience company.
Incoming CFO Saori Casey expressed excitement about joining Sonos, praising the company’s iconic brand and innovative audio products, and stating her eagerness to contribute to Sonos’ next growth phase.
