VideoAmp in a Turbulence of Changes
The CEO and founder of VideoAmp, Ross McCray, is stepping down while the company plans significant layoffs. Ross McCray, who steered VideoAmp through major deals with industry giants like Paramount Global and Warner Bros. Discovery, will transition to a role as a shareholder and board member. Industry veteran Peter Liguori, previously leading Fox Entertainment, FX, and Tribune Media, among other companies, will assume the position of Executive Chairman. Peter Bradbury, a former Nielsen executive, will take on the responsibilities of VideoAmp’s Chief Commercial and Growth Officer.
VideoAmp has been making significant strides, competing with industry giants like Nielsen and iSpot, as media companies grapple with counting consumers across various media outlets and viewing behaviors.
Liguori brings a wealth of experience, having successfully led FX’s expansion in cable entertainment, served as chief operating officer at Discovery Communications, and helmed Tribune Media during its division spinoff into what is now known as Tronc. His initiatives included adding original scripted programming to WGN America and transforming it into the cable news outlet NewsNation.
