Steffen Baetjer is the new CFO of Fielmann Group

Starting January 1, 2024, Steffen Baetjer, who has served as the Executive Director Controlling since August 2023, stepped into the role of CFO at Fielmann Group AG, succeeding Georg Alexander Zeiss. This transition marks the successful implementation of a succession plan approved unanimously by the Supervisory Board in July 2023. Additionally, Zeiss is slated to join the Supervisory Board of Fielmann Group AG, pending approval from the relevant District Court in the City of Hamburg.

Bringing over two decades of financial leadership experience across diverse industries and locations, Baetjer, a native of the northern German island of Foehr, holds degrees in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the University of Kassel. His professional journey includes tenure at McKinsey in strategy consulting across Europe and the United States. Subsequently, he held positions as Finance Director at Universal Music Germany and WestLB Luxembourg before serving as Group CFO at Techem, APCOA Parking, and the Work Zone Safety Group.

Following Hans-Joachim Oltersdorf’s resignation from the Supervisory Board on December 31, 2023, Georg Alexander Zeiss, after a two-decade tenure as CFO, is slated to join Fielmann Group AG’s Supervisory Board. This appointment is subject to approval by the responsible District Court in Hamburg. Additionally, Zeiss will lead the Fielmann Family’s holding company.
