Dingdong Appoints its new CFO and CHRO

Dingdong Limited (NYSE: DDL), an e-commerce entity specializing in fresh groceries in China, has announced the appointment of Mr. Song Wang, presently serving as the Director and Senior Vice President, as the Chief Financial Officer effective December 26, 2023. Mr. Wang will oversee the company’s financial matters and investor relationships. Additionally, Ms. Hongli Gong, currently the Senior Vice President, will assume the role of Chief Human Resources Officer from the same date, responsible for managing the company’s human resources.

Mr. Wang has been with the Company since September 2023 as a senior vice president and director. With almost 17 years of experience in China’s consumer and retail sector, Mr. Song Wang brings extensive industry knowledge to his role. Prior to joining Dingdong, he held key financial positions in several prominent e-commerce and retail companies in China, including Ele.me, Lianhua Supermarket, and Hema Fresh, endorsed by Alibaba (NYSE: BABA and HKEX: 9988). His background includes serving in finance leadership roles at Yiguo E-Commerce, Yihai Kerry (commonly known as Jinlongyu), and Huawei Technologies. Mr. Wang holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Tiangong University.

Ms. Hongli Gong boasts over a decade of experience in human resources, emphasizing the pivotal role of people in a business’s success. She previously worked at Dingdong from 2015 to 2017, focusing on recruitment matters, and rejoined in January 2019 as the head of the HR department. Her career also includes roles at Taimei Technology, Pactera Technology, and in a pharmaceutical industry-focused head-hunting firm. Ms. Gong earned her bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine from Weifang Medical University in 2012.

Mr. Changlin Liang, Chairman and CEO of Dingdong, affirmed the appointments as measures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. He expressed confidence in the leadership of Mr. Wang and Ms. Gong, underscoring their value in the company’s long-term success.

Commenting on their appointments, Mr. Wang expressed enthusiasm for leading the talented finance team and leveraging his expertise and industry network for Dingdong’s growth. Ms. Gong shared her excitement about contributing to Dingdong’s culture and values, fostering employee development and transparent communication within the company.
