According to a recent analysis by CEOWORLD magazine, electrical engineering, and computer engineering are among the top 10 majors with the highest median salaries. In fact, eight out of the top 10 majors are in the field of engineering. To compile this data, CEOWORLD magazine analyzed the most recent census data for people aged 18 to 77 who are employed or seeking employment.

When deciding on a college major or career path, it’s important not to base your decision solely on projected income. While earnings data can be a helpful consideration, there are other important factors to take into account as well. If you don’t find math and science interesting, it may be difficult to stay motivated and push through those classes. This can also make it challenging when you start applying for jobs and working in the same field every day. Nonetheless, it’s essential to have a diverse education that provides you with relevant skills and experiences for various industries. You can achieve this by choosing a major in engineering while also taking humanities courses or pursuing creative roles within a technology company, for instance.
