Entain Searches a Permanent Replacement of CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen
Jette Nygaard-Andersen, the CEO of Entain, has stepped down from her role immediately, as officially announced by the company on Wednesday. The board has named Stella David, a non-executive director, as the interim CEO while they search for a permanent replacement. Nygaard-Andersen’s departure follows the resolution of HMRC’s investigation into the company’s historic Turkish business.
Jette Nygaard-Andersen, born in 1968, has previously chaired Astralis, the Danish e-sports team owner, and held significant roles at Modern Times Group, a Swedish media enterprise, where she worked for a span of 16 years.
Her affiliation with Entain began in 2019 when she became a non-executive director. Subsequently, in January 2021, she ascended to the role of Chief Executive Officer at Entain, marking a milestone as the first female CEO of a betting company listed in the UK.
