Arena Group Dismisses its CEO

The Arena Group, a digital publisher responsible for renowned brands like Sports Illustrated and The Street, dismissed its CEO on Monday, part of a broader restructuring within the top leadership. Ross Levinsohn held the position of CEO for three years, and the decision followed a troubling incident where Sports Illustrated was discovered publishing articles under fictitious author names and AI-generated profile pictures.

With immediate effect, Manoj Bhargava, the founder of 5-Hour Energy and a majority stakeholder in The Arena Group, assumed the role of interim CEO in place of Levinsohn, confirmed Vince Bodiford, a spokesperson for Bhargava.

Levinsohn’s exit occurred shortly after The Arena Group terminated three key executives: Andrew Kraft, President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer; Rob Barrett, President of Media; and Julie Fenster, Corporate Counsel.
