Assent Brings Jason Cherry to Replace Russell Frederick in the Role of CFO
Assent Inc., a prominent provider of supply chain sustainability solutions, has announced the appointment of Jason Cherry as its new Chief Financial Officer and member of the company’s leadership team. Cherry will be succeeding Russell Frederick, who will be retiring at the year’s end.
Established in 2010, Assent offers a leading supply chain sustainability management solution, aiding manufacturers worldwide in addressing product compliance and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) requirements.
Bringing over 20 years of financial leadership experience across various industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, power, and technology, Cherry, based in Rhode Island, arrives at Assent. He most recently held the position of CFO at Telestream, a video production and automation service provider, and earlier served in the same capacity at Carousel Industries, an integrated cloud communications service provider. Prior to these roles, Cherry served as CFO, overseeing multiple business lines at General Electric Company (NASDAQ: GE).
Andrew Waitman, CEO of Assent, expressed confidence in Cherry’s global expertise across diverse industries, emphasizing his expected contribution to Assent’s mission of innovation for customers and operational efficiency to propel the company’s growth. Waitman also extended gratitude to Russell for his eight years of dedicated support in scaling the company to its current leadership position.
