ReSee Brings Sébastien Fabre to Lead
ReSee, the French luxury vintage e-commerce platform established in 2013 by Sofia Bernardin, formerly associated with Vogue New York, and Sabrina Marshall, a former fashion designer at the Self-Service agency, has introduced Sébastien Fabre as its new CEO.
Working in collaboration with the previous CEO, Bernardin, who remains actively engaged in the business, Fabre is at the forefront of steering the company’s direction.
Fabre, recognized for his role as a co-founder contributing to the success of Vestiaire Collective, has been selected to lead ReSee’s expansion strategy and drive company restructuring for accelerated growth. Having served as a board member for several months, Fabre’s appointment marks a pivotal step for ReSee, focusing on international expansion, fostering profitability, and fortifying technological capabilities, as stated in the company’s press release.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, ReSee asserts consistent profitability since its inception, citing a consistent 120% year-on-year revenue growth, though specific sales figures were not disclosed. Additionally, ReSee successfully concluded a €3 million investment round involving twelve investors in the prior year and solidified a collaboration agreement with couture brand Alaïa to showcase its archives. With 70% of sales originating from the United States, the online retailer aims to establish a New York City subsidiary in the coming year.
The co-founders expressed confidence in Fabre’s expertise within the second-hand fashion and luxury sector, emphasizing his entrepreneurial acumen and executive leadership.
