Paul Emmitt Promoted to Permanent CEO at Powerhouse Energy Group
Powerhouse Energy Group PLC announced on Monday that Paul Emmitt, previously the Acting Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed as the permanent CEO.
Emmitt assumed the role of acting CEO in September, stepping in for Keith Riley, who resigned due to personal reasons at the Bingley, England-based non-recyclable waste-to-energy conversion firm.
Having joined the company in 2021 as the Chief Technical Officer, Emmitt took on the additional role of Chief Operating Officer by August 2022.
The company recently disclosed the intention of Non-Executive Chair Tony Gardner-Hillman to resign. However, Gardner-Hillman will stay in his position until December 15, when David Hitchcock, a non-executive director, will temporarily take over. The appointment of a permanent chair is anticipated to be announced “in due course.”
