At the beginning of December, Mark Godson is set to assume the position of Chief Financial Officer at Just Group PLC following the necessary regulatory approvals. The incumbent CFO, Andy Parsons, is scheduled to retire on December 31.
Godson’s commencement date has been rescheduled to start next Friday, having secured the requisite regulatory approvals. Meanwhile, Parsons will remain an executive director until his previously announced retirement date, facilitating a seamless transition.
Back in July, the Surrey, England-based financial services firm specializing in the UK retirement income market had announced Godson’s intended appointment as CFO, effective December 1, pending regulatory clearance.
CEO David Richardson remarked that Godson is a distinguished talent in the insurance sector, bringing extensive commercial and financial expertise garnered across the industry. He believes Mark’s growth-oriented approach positions him ideally to aid the company in fulfilling its profit commitments.
Incoming CFO Godson said, “I’m pleased to have joined the board and the executive team to support the group’s growth strategy, create value for our shareholders, and deliver great outcomes for our customers. Richardson also expressed gratitude to Andy Parsons, acknowledging his pivotal role in fortifying the company’s financial standing, fostering recent growth, and steering the finance transformation program, which included implementing IFRS 17.
