RETJA Brings Former Swiss Re Executive to Join the Advisory Board

Mark Senkevics, previously the head of Swiss Re’s Australia and New Zealand operations for over two decades, has joined the advisory board of insurtech RETJA after concluding his tenure at the reinsurer on June 30.

Senkevics, based in Sydney, held the position of Swiss Re’s Head of Property and Casualty (P&C) Underwriting APAC before departing. His exit was reportedly part of a global restructuring initiative that led to the elimination of certain regional roles.

RETJA specializes in analyzing insurance policy language, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and simplicity by comparing coverage offered by various insurance carriers. The company recently became a member of Insurtech Australia.

Jasmin Flori-Hess, the co-founder and CEO of RETJA, brings a decade-long experience from UBS to the company.

The advisory board of RETJA comprises experienced professionals, including Deepak Mohan, head of Reinsurance Origination at Swiss Re based in Zurich; John Fison, a Strategic Advisor at Flat Rock in Brisbane; John Shanks, a pharmacist and software developer in Darwin; and Patricia Widmer, a Managing Partner at Aalto in Zurich, who previously spent eight years at UBS.
