As of November 16, 2023, Tadashi Yanai was the wealthiest person in Japan, with an estimated net worth of 36.8 billion U.S. dollars, followed by Masayoshi son (No. 2, $22.2 billion), Takemitsu Takizaki (No. 3, $19.5 billion); and Takahisa Takahara (No. 4, $6.0 billion).

Yasumitsu Shigeta is the fifth-richest person in Japan, with a whopping $3.8 billion. Takao Yasuda ranked 6th with a personal wealth of $3.8 billion, followed by Kentaro Ogawa with $3.6 billion. Masahiro Noda is placed 8th with a net worth of $3.5 billion. Masahiro Miki ($3.2 billion) occupied the 9th position among the top 10 wealthiest people in Japan.
