Brian Roberts Named Sensata’s CFO after Paul Vasington’s Retirement

Sensata Technologies (NYSE: ST), a prominent global industrial technology company and a leading provider of sensors, sensor-rich solutions, and electrical protection devices, has announced the appointment of Brian K. Roberts as its new CFO, effective immediately following the filing of the 10-Q for the third quarter of 2023 in early November. Brian will take on the role of leading and overseeing all global financial activities of Sensata.

With a workforce of over 21,000 employees and a presence in 16 countries worldwide, Sensata serves customers in the automotive, heavy vehicle & off-road, industrial, and aerospace markets.

Brian is set to succeed the current Chief Financial Officer of Sensata, Paul Vasington, who has chosen to retire from the company. Paul will stay with Sensata during a transition period and continue to advise Jeff Cote, Chief Executive Officer and President of Sensata, and Brian until April 2, 2024.

Brian brings decades of experience in finance, operations, and leadership across multiple industries, including marketing and technology services, medical device manufacturing, and life sciences. Most recently, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Tarveda Therapeutics, a privately venture-backed oncology company. He initially joined as CFO in 2018. Brian also has significant experience in public company operations, including serving as CFO at both Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD), a high-growth medical technology company, and Digitas, Inc., leading to its successful acquisition by Publicis Groupe. Additionally, Brian has extensive experience on public boards, including eight years as the Audit Committee Chair for ViewRay, Inc.

Brian began his career at Ernst & Young and holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Boston College.

Jeff Cote expressed his enthusiasm for Brian’s appointment. Cote expressed his gratitude to Paul for his many years of dedicated service to Sensata, especially during a time of significant change and disruption. He also wished Paul well in his well-deserved retirement. Cote expressed confidence in the strong finance team that Paul built, believing that it will continue to thrive under Brian’s leadership.
