Briony Bayer is Selected to be the Interim CFO of ALUULA Composites

ALUULA Composites Inc. (TSXV: AUUA) has officially announced the appointment of Briony Bayer as the company’s interim Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Bayer also continues to serve as a director of ALUULA.

Ms. Bayer is a seasoned finance professional with two decades of experience in senior executive positions. She was not only a founding shareholder but also served as a director and CFO of Bastion Square Partners Inc., a Capital Pool Company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. The company completed its qualifying transaction through a three-cornered amalgamation with ALUULA on April 17, 2023. Following the transaction, Ms. Bayer continued to serve as a member of the company’s board of directors.

In addition to her role with ALUULA, Ms. Bayer holds the position of CFO at the Victoria-based private equity firm Gustavson Capital Corporation. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing assets under management, as well as conducting due diligence, analysis, and recommendations for investment opportunities. As CFO, Ms. Bayer has collaborated with executive teams of portfolio companies to plan and execute business growth strategies. She also oversees various functional areas, including finance and accounting, HR, IT, and risk management. Before joining Gustavson Capital, Ms. Bayer held senior finance roles with Custom House Ltd, a privately held multinational company, and ACD Systems International Inc., a software development company listed on the TSX.

Ms. Bayer is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) who completed her articles at KPMG LLP. During her time at KPMG, she managed a portfolio of clients, encompassing both publicly traded and privately held companies. Her tenure with KPMG took her to various offices, including those in Victoria, BC, Mountain View, CA, and Frankfurt.
