Rakesh Kumar is Promoted to Deputy CFO at hospitality tech platform OYO
OYO announced on Tuesday that Rakesh Kumar has been promoted to the role of Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Before taking on this new position, Kumar served as the Head of Controls, responsible for controllership.
This transition to Deputy CFO signifies a significant expansion of his role, which now includes overseeing business finance and taxation, according to OYO. Rakesh Kumar originally joined OYO more than 5 years ago as the Head of Financial Reporting.
In his enhanced role, Rakesh Kumar will have responsibilities that encompass crucial operational finance functions. These functions include Treasury, Controllership, Shared Services, Business Finance, Taxation, Financial Planning and analysis (FP&A), and the execution of results, compliance, and timely audits across the organization. He will continue to report to OYO’s CFO, Abhishek Gupta.
