Jeanie Yu To Become Bessor’s CFO After Resignation of Joseph Meagher
Bessor Minerals Inc. (BST.H.:NEX) has named Jeanie Yu as its new Chief Financial Officer following the resignation of Joseph Meagher from the role of CFO. Ms. Yu’s appointment is subject to review by the TSX Venture Exchange and NEX.
Jason Riley, President and CEO of Bessor, expressed his gratitude to Joseph for his dedication and contributions to the company during his nine-year tenure as CFO and wished Joseph success in his future endeavors.
Jeanie Yu brings a wealth of experience to her new role as CFO. She is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA) with over 15 years of international experience in financial management, financial reporting, internal controls, and corporate governance. Ms. Yu has held senior financial positions across various industries, including mining, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. Her experience spans both production-staged and exploration-staged publicly traded mining companies. In her most recent role, she oversaw regulatory financial reporting, accounting services, annual audits, and government tax and regulatory reporting at Patriot Battery Metals Inc.
Before embarking on her accounting career, Ms. Yu worked as a Professional Engineer, holding a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering, and was registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) in the pulp and paper industry. Her academic background includes obtaining her Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of British Columbia.
