Howden Tiger has announced the appointment of Tim Ronda, currently serving as President, as its new Chief Executive Officer. In this strategic move, Ronda will now report directly to David Howden, who serves as the CEO of the larger Howden organization.

Howden Tiger operates as the reinsurance division of the well-established global brokerage firm, Howden. It strategically positions itself in the market and offers comprehensive reinsurance solutions to its clients.

Rod Fox, Executive Chairman of Howden Tiger, stated, “When Tim joined us almost two years ago, I said that we had ‘hands down, the best leadership team in our industry. I’m proud to say that today, our bench strength is even better. When we signed the agreement to bring Howden Re and Tiger Risk together, we knew that we were creating something special. The market could feel the energy, too, and so could the talent who continue to join us as we deliver on a clear ambition to be the fresh and dynamic alternative on a global scale. Today, the leadership team is in place to drive Howden Tiger forward at pace for its clients.”

Tim Ronda, formerly holding the title of President at Howden Tiger, will take over from the current CEO, Rob Bredahl. However, Rob will not exit the spotlight completely, as he is set to assume the role of Executive Chair at Howden Tiger Capital Markets.

This transition provides Rob with an opportunity to focus more on clients and the brokerage’s capital market ventures. Additionally, Ronda will collaborate with Bredahl and Elliot Richardson, who will jointly serve as co-Vice Chairs. Rod Fox will continue in his role as Executive Chairman of Howden Tiger.

Prior to joining Howden Tiger, Tim Ronda played a significant role at TigerRisk Partners since October 2021. His extensive professional background includes a substantial tenure at the global re/insurance broker Aon, where he held key positions such as Global Geographic Leader of Reinsurance Solutions and President of Reinsurance Solutions for the U.S. He also served on Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions global executive committee.

In the early stages of his career, Ronda held the prestigious position of Senior Vice President at Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance broking division of Marsh McLennan.
