Jatin Dalal Becomes Cognizant’s CFO as Jan Siegmund Retires
Cognizant (Nasdaq: CTSH), a prominent global professional services firm, has announced the appointment of Jatin Dalal as its Chief Financial Officer, effective in December 2023. Dalal will report directly to Cognizant’s Chief Executive Officer, Ravi Kumar S, and will be responsible for overseeing various critical functions.
Jatin Dalal’s appointment follows the planned retirement of Jan Siegmund in early 2024. After Dalal assumes the role of CFO, Siegmund will continue to work with the company in a non-executive capacity as a special advisor, supporting a smooth transition.
Dalal brings with him extensive experience in senior financial roles within complex, multinational organizations. He joins Cognizant from Wipro, a publicly traded multinational technology services and consulting company, where he served as CFO starting in April 2015 and took on additional responsibilities as President in December 2019. Before his role as CFO, Dalal served as CFO of Wipro’s Global IT Business from 2011 to 2015 in Bangalore. Prior to that, he held roles such as Wipro’s UK Head of Finance for the Europe region and Global Finance Head for the company’s Energy & Utilities, Health Care, and Manufacturing business units.
Ravi Kumar S, Chief Executive Officer of Cognizant, expressed confidence in Dalal’s ability, stating, “Jatin is a highly experienced technology services CFO with a proven track record of financial and operational success in a complex and quickly evolving industry,” said Ravi Kumar S, Chief Executive Officer. “We are pleased to welcome Jatin to Cognizant and confident he will help us achieve our goals as we continue to focus on driving revenue growth.”
