Andrew Johnson Succeeds Michael Turner at 3D Systems as CFO
3D Systems (NYSE: DDD) has officially announced that Michael Turner will be stepping down from his position as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, effective as of October 15, 2023, as he embarks on a new career opportunity. To fill this vacancy, Andrew Johnson, who currently serves as 3D Systems’ Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Development Officer, and Chief Legal Officer, has been appointed as the interim CFO, beginning on October 16. The company has also initiated a search for a permanent finance leader.
Dr. Jeffrey Graves, president and CEO of 3D Systems, expressed his gratitude for Michael’s dedication and leadership during the execution of a finance transformation plan and improvements in operational performance throughout his tenure with the company. He extended his best wishes to Michael in his new career opportunity and expressed confidence in a smooth transition under Andy’s leadership as the interim CFO. Dr. Graves highlighted Andy’s extensive experience, having spent over 17 years with the company in various leadership roles, including heading corporate development and the legal department.
Currently serving as Executive Vice President at 3D Systems, Mr. Johnson’s role encompasses that of Chief Corporate Development Officer and Chief Legal Officer. He has been with 3D Systems since July 2006, steadily taking on roles of increasing responsibility within the corporate and legal departments. Notably, he previously served as interim Chief Executive Officer from October 2015 to April 2016.
Mr. Johnson holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, where he graduated with High Distinction.
