SkyShowtime Shuffles C-Suite
SkyShowtime has announced the appointment of Mark Neil as Chief Financial Officer. The current CFO, Francesca Pierce, will transition to a newly created position as Chief Administration Officer.
Mark Neil is set to assume his role as CFO in January, coming from his previous role as CFO at A+E Networks EMEA. Based in London, he will report directly to SkyShowtime’s CEO, Monty Sarhan.
Francesca Pierce’s shift to the role of Chief Administration Officer was part of this announcement. She will continue reporting to Sarhan and will begin her new role in January, coinciding with Mark Neil’s formal start as CFO.
SkyShowtime also recently appointed Kai Finke, a former Netflix executive, as Chief Content Officer.
Mark Neil has held a leadership position in the finance department at A+E Networks EMEA for seven years. The company noted that, in his role as CFO, he regularly engaged with A+E Networks’ UK board of directors, which includes executives from Sky and Hearst as joint venture partners. With over three decades of experience in media and telecommunications, Mark Neil has previously worked at News Corporation, Thomson Reuters, and Scripps Networks.
Monty Sarhan, CEO of SkyShowtime, expressed his excitement about Mark Neil joining the team, emphasizing his experience in scaling new businesses and working within joint ventures. Monty Sarhan explained the significance of this transition, saying, “In the year since SkyShowtime’s first launch, and just six months after its final launches, our team has done a tremendous job to scale the business rapidly. As we enter this next phase of the company’s growth, the ability to execute well — with both speed and efficiency — is even more important.”
In her new capacity as Chief Administration Officer, Francesca Pierce, a former Sky executive, will concentrate on optimizing business operations and finances. The objective is to promote continuous improvements across all departments by collaborating with leaders throughout the organization to ensure teams are working efficiently with a clear sense of purpose.
