MS Amlin has announced the appointment of Jessie Burrows as the new Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Phil Green, who is set to retire.
Pending regulatory approval, Burrows is scheduled to assume her role at the start of 2024 and will report directly to Andrew Carrier, the Chief Executive Officer. To facilitate a smooth transition, Burrows will work alongside the current CFO, Phil Green, during the first quarter of 2024. They will jointly oversee the closure and submission of the financial and regulatory reports for the year-end 2023.
Jessie Burrows brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector to MS Amlin, most recently holding the position of Managing Director – Customer Sales, Service, and Claims at Direct Line Group (DLG). She joined DLG over seven years ago, initially as the Group Financial Controller. Prior to this, her career included a range of increasingly senior roles at Aviva, such as Head of Investor Relations, Audit Director for Aviva Global Asset Management, Chief Accounting Officer, and finally FP&A Director for Aviva’s UK & Ireland General Insurance business.
Before her time at Aviva, Burrows also spent several years with KPMG’s insurance practice, where she provided consulting and advisory services to clients across various areas within the insurance industry after becoming a Chartered Accountant.
Carrier expressed his satisfaction with Burrows’ appointment, stating, “I’m delighted to confirm Jessie’s appointment as our incoming CFO. Jessie brings extensive board-level experience, financial expertise, and business leadership alongside a highly impressive track record for improving profitability and performance.”
