Inogen, Inc. (NASDAQ: INGN), a medical technology company, has announced the appointment of Mike Sergesketter as Interim Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Sergesketter previously served as Interim Chief Financial Officer of the company from December 2021 to March 2022 and also held the position of CFO at Kimball Electronics, Inc. At Kimball Electronics, he played a pivotal role in developing and executing the company’s globalization strategy while simultaneously strengthening the finance function to support the company’s growth.
This appointment follows the resignation of Kristin Caltrider for personal reasons. It’s worth noting that Ms. Caltrider’s decision was unrelated to any disagreements with the company or its management regarding operational matters, policies, or practices. The company has engaged a prominent executive search firm to assist in finding a permanent replacement.
Nabil Shabshab, President and Chief Executive Officer of Inogen, expressed his gratitude to Kristin for her contributions to Inogen and shared his optimism for the company’s future as it continues to evolve strategically to become a more prominent player in respiratory care. He welcomed Mike Sergesketter back to the company, highlighting his past accomplishments as a CFO and collaborative partner. Shabshab pointed out Mike’s extensive experience spanning finance, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic manufacturing, as well as his reputation as a valuable cross-functional advisor. These attributes will be invaluable as Inogen executes its plans for 2023 and prepares for 2024.
Mr. Sergesketter boasts more than four decades of finance experience in the manufacturing services sector. His expertise extends across various business functions, including close collaboration with CEOs, Boards of Directors, Audit Committees, and Compensation and Governance Committees. While serving as the CFO of Kimball Electronics, Inc. from 2014 until June 2021, he played a pivotal role in transforming finance and reporting functions to support the newly established public company. This transformation contributed to global expansion and the execution of strategic initiatives. During his tenure at Kimball Electronics and its predecessors, Mr. Sergesketter held key responsibilities in critical finance functions, including SEC reporting, Treasury, Investor Relations, Tax, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Internal Audit. He was also instrumental in various M&A transactions both in the United States and internationally.
