Sarah Youngwood Will Be the new CFO at Nasdaq
Former UBS Chief Financial Officer Sarah Youngwood is set to join Nasdaq in the same capacity. Her appointment is effective from December 1, and she will be taking over from the current CFO, Ann Dennison, who will continue in her role until the end of the year.
Sarah Youngwood had taken on the CFO role at UBS on May 1 of the previous year, but she left the bank earlier in the current year after it acquired Credit Suisse. Her position at UBS was subsequently filled by Todd Tucker in May.
Before her brief tenure at UBS, Youngwood had a career spanning almost 25 years at JPMorgan. Her roles included CFO positions as well as serving as the head of investor relations.
Nasdaq, with Adena Friedman as its CEO, is strategically repositioning itself to gain a more prominent foothold in the fintech sector. To drive growth through anti-financial crime products, the company appointed Tal Cohen and Nelson Griggs as presidents, as outlined in the report.
