Spire Global Names the New CFO Leo Basola
The Senior Vice President of International Finance at Equifax (NYSE: EFX), Leo Basola, has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Spire Global (NYSE: SPIR).
In his new capacity, Basola will guide Spire Global’s strategic efforts toward achieving positive free cash flow by the middle of 2024, according to the announcement from the space data and analytics service provider on Tuesday. In this role, Basola takes over from Thomas Krywe, who departed from the CFO position after a five-year tenure.
During his time at Equifax, Basola effectively managed financial operations across 23 countries within Equifax International for the past four years. His extensive industry background encompasses previous roles as CFO at ChemTreat, General Electric (NYSE: GE), and Genworth Financial (NYSE: GNW).
Basola holds a bachelor’s degree from the Argentine Catholic University in Buenos Aires. He is a certified public accountant and furthered his education by obtaining an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
