Berry Global Announces Kevin Kwilinski as its new CEO and Stephen Sterrett as Chairman

Berry Global, a packaging manufacturer headquartered in the US, has officially announced the selection of Kevin Kwilinski as the forthcoming Chief Executive Officer of Berry, effective from October 2, 2023.

Current Berry CEO Tom Salmon, will be stepping down from his current responsibilities within the company. However, he will continue to support Berry in an advisory capacity until the conclusion of the calendar year to ensure a seamless leadership transition.

In conjunction with this appointment, the Board has elected Stephen Sterrett, the Lead Independent Director, to assume the role of Chairman of the Board, effective from October 2, 2023.

The company stated, “Mr. Kwilinski brings to Berry nearly three decades of experience in the packaging industry and a track record of driving operational excellence, expanding margins, and managing complex global operations.”

Mr. Kwilinski currently holds the position of President and CEO at Multi-Color Corp., a label solutions provider located in Batavia, Ohio. Prior to this, he held the role of CEO at Fort Dearborn Company, a prominent supplier of decorative labels serving sectors such as beverages, food, household products, nutraceuticals, paint, and coatings. The merger of Fort Dearborn Company and Multi-Color occurred in July 2021, facilitated by private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.
