As of July 31, 2023, David Thomson was the wealthiest person in Canada, with an estimated net worth of 57.5 billion U.S. dollars, followed by David Cheriton (No. 2, $10.9 billion), Anthony Von Mandl (No. 3, $10.6 billion); and Changpeng Zhao (No. 4, $10.2 billion).

Jim Pattison is the fifth-richest person in Canada, with a whopping $10.1 billion. Joseph Tsai ranked 6th with a personal wealth of $8.2 billion, followed by  Alain Bouchard with $6.6 billion. Tobi Lutke is placed 8th with a net worth of $6.0 billion. Chip Wilson ($5.8 billion) occupied the 9th position among Canada’s top 10 wealthiest people.
