The Big Cities An Incredible Nature Of Vietnam

Vietnam is a dream country for many travelers. Even though it is not a destination you will find in lists of the Top 10 places to go, it is magnificent. The fact that it is not so famous allows the visitor to have a more unique and peaceful experience and get genuinely in touch with the Asian culture. In this article, I will talk about the basic things you should know before setting foot as a Vietnam tourist.

The magnificence of Hanoi

Although it is not the largest city, Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam. This is a beautiful megalopolis in which the past and present of an entire civilization are reflected. Built around the legendary Lake Hoan Kiem, Hanoi achieves something that few countries worldwide achieve: the perfect balance between tradition and modernism.

The capital of Vietnam is rightly called a great “crossroads” of two different cultures and worlds, the result of the past conquerors of the country. Magnificent French buildings, including villas and Catholic temples, meet the Chinese-style Ngok Son Temple and the Buddhist “Temple of Literature.” Tribute is paid even to the minority groups of the country and their everyday life in the exhibits of the Ethnological Museum.

A walk in the city’s central area will convince you about the beauty and the excellent atmosphere it offers. Even in the smallest alleys, the liveliness and picturesqueness “overflow”, with the well-maintained streets will lead to idyllic landscapes and magnificent buildings. Cafes and local restaurants are always full and ready to accommodate impatient tourists and “seduce” them with the delicious delicacies of the country. This bustling atmosphere is harmoniously balanced with the always “quiet” waters of Lake Hoan Kiem, which surrounds the capital and gives its own excellent “tone.”

Ho Chi Minh and the Forbidden City

It is the largest city in the country. Over the years, it has developed into an ultra-modern Western-style urban center. It is a dynamic place, and its construction reminds us of Europe, especially France since the French have occupied it for several years. It has some outstanding buildings, such as the Cathedral Of Our Lady and The War Museum, and keeps alive the memories of the last war with both historical museums and the Ku Chi Tunnels, which were used extensively by the Vietnamese.

The visitor can experience the conceivable contact with this war, even more intensely, in the city of Hue or the Forbidden City. It is located in South Vietnam, and its massive destruction remains obvious to visitors. Despite the severe damage, Hue managed to be restored, and today is an important tourist attraction.

The surprises of Vietnamese nature

There may be some amenities that Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have been missing, but an excursion to the outskirts of Vietnam will compensate those who visit it, giving them an incredible and unforgettable experience. Its trademark is the Mekong River Delta. It is in the country’s southernmost point, and its location is ideal for incredible boating and images while floating. The Thung Nang Valley is equally impressive, and its exploration is recommended with a magical cruise among beautiful mountains.

The famous Bay of Ha log dominates a few miles away from Hanoi. It is a geophysical wonder, and its rare, beautiful rock formations compose a dreamy and shocking landscape. A place where impressive mountain grooves and green rocks meet, the result of soil erosion many millions of years ago accompanied by rich vegetation. The idyllic scenery is complemented by the existence of impressive caves that fulfill every expectation of this charming place.

In Vietnam, wherever you go, whether in the big cities or the countryside, you can’t escape the characteristics of Vietnamese culture. And for this reason, visiting Vietnam will not just be a pleasure trip but a life experience.
