Gautam Adani beats Warren Buffett, Elon Musk, Mukesh Ambani, and Bill Gates with biggest wealth surge

As of March 12, 2021, the net worth of Indian billionaire Gautam Adani has jumped $16.2 billion in 2021 to $50 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. This has made him the year’s biggest wealth gainer, beating even Warren Buffett, Elon Musk, Mukesh Ambani, and Bill Gates. Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani is now the 26th richest person in the world.

Google Co-founder Larry Page is ranked second in terms of highest gain in wealth with a growth of $14.3 billion. While Sergey Brin has added $13.8 billion to his net worth so far, followed by Warren Buffett (YTD change: $12.1 billion), Su Hua (YTD change: $11.9 billion), and Ma Huateng (YTD change: $10.7 billion). Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani is the 10th richest person in the world with a net worth of $84.8 billion. So far in 2021, he has added $8.05 billion of wealth.

The increase in Gautam Adani’s wealth outshines the $8.1 billion added by another Indian businessman and the richest person in Asia, Mukesh Ambani. Shares of all Adani group stocks, except one, have rallied at least 50% this year. Adani Total Gas Ltd. has jumped 96% this year while the flagship Adani Enterprises has advanced 90%. Adani Transmission Ltd. is up 79%. Adani Power Ltd. and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zones Ltd. have gained more than 52% this year. Adani Green Energy Ltd., after rising over 500% last year, is up 12% so far.
