There is no end to the things you can see and do while in Canada. The country itself is a huge manifestation of nature at its best, and hence has some of the most beautiful and scenic national parks in and around the territory.

From emerald lakes, glaciers, snow-capped mountains, and amazing wildlife scenery, Canada is every way is a dream destination for people who love outdoors. With so much to see and explore in the Canadian province, there are a handful of national parks, which should be included in your itinerary if you are a nature lover.

  1. Jasper National Park
    No trip to the second-largest country in the world is complete without visiting the Jasper National Park. The park has earned the title of being the largest in the Canadian Rockies and is home to abundant wildlife along with icefields parkway. While the extent of wilderness and the species it houses might as a surprise for you, but that doesn’t mean that there is nothing else to do in the park. Jasper National Park also has endless opportunities for hiking, biking, boating, and more.     This is one national park in the Canadian region that quite a challenge to reach. The park is situated in one of the remote locations of the country the Moresby island and therefore is difficult to land. But once you get to the place you would surely get a heads up about what the buzz is all about. From moss-laden forests, dramatic coastal terrains, to ruins which have been listed by UNESCO, the park is really interesting for intrepid travelers. One of the highlights of the park is the 500 million old Burgess Shale Fossils which will surely take you back in time. Other things to see the scintillating Emerald Lake and Takakkaw fall that are one of the highest waterfalls in the entire nation.
  5. Gros Morne National Park
    If you want to see a park that is blessed with amazing topography then Gross Morne National Park is the one-stop destination for you. Located on the island of New Foundland, the park is a UNESCO heritage site. What sets this striking piece of wilderness apart is the “Tablelands” that is one of the few places where you can see and explore Earth’s Mantle. With abundant coastal scenery, Fjords, and hiking trails the park can be easily ruled out as one of the best in the nation.
  6. Point Pelee National Park
    For all budding ornithologists around the world, here is spot to vouch for. Point Pelee National Park is home to more than 390 varieties of birds and thus acts as the major USP for luring visitors towards the location. The park hosts an annual Festival Of Birds every May where visitors can watch the spring migration from up and close. Apart from that the park also has sandy beaches where one can enjoy a relax and bask under the sun.
  7. Kluane National Park and Reserve
    It is true that Canada has something up its sleeves for every visitor. And Kluane National Park is one such destination for the hikers. The park is home to over 23 trails and routes that can be covered in multiday treks. Apart from the hiking activity the other activities that keep visitors engaged is the air tour over the largest icefields or rafting on the Alsek River.
