Most Visited Cities In The United States Among International Travelers in 2019

Times Square (New York City, New York)

Only seven American cities have been listed in the top 100 most-visited cities in the world in 2019 by Euromonitor. For the year 2019, New York City was the top American destination in terms of a total number of international visitors (14 million).

Miami was ranked second most visited city in the United States among international travelers. The city welcomed 8.34 million visitors. The third city was Los Angeles, followed by Las Vegas, Orlando, San Francisco, and Honolulu. Honolulu is in the 7th most visited city in the United States with 2.85 million international arrivals.

The report revealed that within the top 100 cities listed, 43 were located in Asia, which compares with 32 in Europe. This relatively poor performance of American cities can mostly be put down to the growing attractiveness of Asian cities that have dominated the rankings.
