China is very likely to surpass the U.S. to become the largest economy in the world by 2030, that’s according to a new study released by economists at HSBC, while India will pass Japan and Germany to become the world’s third-biggest economy.
India’s economy will be a size worth $5.9 trillion, the news agency mentioned. Huh?
Experts predict that China’s gross domestic product (GDP) will stand at US$26 trillion in 2030, up from $14.1 trillion today. In contrast, the U.S. meanwhile will see its GDP rise to $25.2 trillion from US$20.4 trillion..
Germany’s will remain the largest in Europe; the United Kingdom will start to pull ahead of France, as numbers 6 and 7 in the world, respectively.
