Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, And Amazon Are The Most Valuable Brands In The World, 2018 (Top 20)

It’s no surprise that six of the world’s top ten most valuable for 2018 are in the tech sector, or that the brand value of Apple increased by 8 percent to $182.8 billion over last year.

Apple is the most valuable brand in the world for the eighth straight year, according to the annual study carried out by Forbes magazine, and worth 38% more than second-ranked Google ($132.1 billion).

The software giant Microsoft comes in at $104.9 billion with an impressive 21% value change and the world’s largest social media site Facebook is reported to have $94.8 billion in brand value with a 29% change.

Online retail giant Amazon drew the No. 5 spot with $70.9 billion, followed by Coca-Cola ($57.3 billion), Samsung ($47.6 billion), Disney ($47.5 billion), Toyota ($44.7 billion). Multinational telecommunications conglomerate AT&T Inc. ranked No. 10 with $41.9 billion in brand value.

The magazine evaluated more than 200 international brands to determine its final list of the 100 most valuable brands, which were required to have a presence in the United States. That criteria eliminated some of the biggest international brands, such as Tencent and Alibaba.
