- The Juilliard School, New York, United States
Established in the year 1905, the Juilliard School is considered to be the most prestigious music school in the world, as far as a slew of rankings is concerned. Here, you will find an ample number of options to choose from. Moreover, due to its status and popularity, it collaborates with other acclaimed music schools in and outside the country. If you did not know already, it collaborates with one of the best-known hosts of music performances in the world, Lincoln Center.
The contribution of this music school is unprecedented: its alumni have won about 105 Grammy Awards, 47 Emmy Awards, 24 Oscars, 62 Tony Awards, and 16 Pulitzer Prizes. The list of its achievements can go on, but I must stop here and let you consider this bulk of information to decide on your own.
2. Berklee College of Music, Boston, United States
Berklee College of Music was established in the year 1945 and has produced some of the best-known artists in the world. With a top-notch academic curriculum, exposure to all sorts of activities, and a faculty of 606 talented teachers, there is no dearth of opportunities here at Berklee.
The achievements of this college are phenomenal, and I have numbers to prove this. Its alumni have won more than 250 Grammy Awards and multiple Oscars. Interestingly, despite having a relatively high acceptance rate in comparison to its counterparts, the college has been able to maintain its reputation, which has transcended borders with the help of its well-organized online music program.
3. New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, United States
Competing closely with Berklee College, New England Conservatory of Music has become a very strong choice among students. It is one of the oldest music schools in the country, having been established in the year 1867, and has managed to retain its prestige despite having Berklee in competition. You will see Berklee producing pop stars and rock bands, but here at New England Conservatory, you will see the grooming of the future great artists in the field of stringed and bass instruments. The College runs a 5-year course in collaboration with Harvard University, which can take your career through the roof.
4. Moscow Imperial Conservatory, Moscow, Russia
Moscow Imperial Conservatory is one of the most prized possessions of Russia—and there is no reason why it should not be. Founded in the year 1866, the Conservatory has had a rich history, particularly the fact that it is among the oldest conservatories in the country. Here great artists such as Sviatislov Richter, Kabalevsky Rachmaninoff, and Vladimir Ashkenazy have studied and made a grand career out of music. It is most famous for its internationally-acclaimed Tchaikovsky Competition, which is organized every four years and involves competitions for best pianist, violinist, singer, and cellist.
5. The University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, Austria
Established in the year 1817, the university is one of the oldest and, incidentally, the largest music schools across the globe. It has been the center of music and arts ever since its inception and has witnessed the graduation of some of the most notable artists in the world such as Mahler and Brahms. The University has a huge number of students enrolled in its various courses, but interestingly enough, it maintains a student-teacher ratio at 4.7. Here there are courses on all sorts such as Film Composition, Organ, Conducting and Voice. In addition, it organizes a number of international competitions which see participation from students from all parts of the world.

However, this is by no means a comprehensive list, while the institutes above are the “CEOWORLD magazine’s Best Music Schools In The World For 2019,” there may be many other institutes that offer excellent programs.
