How Wealth Is Divided Globally Among Ultra-Super-Rich, Super-Rich, Rich, And Everyone Else?
It’s no surprise, how wealth is divided globally among the ultra-super-rich (32 million), the super-rich (361 million), the rich (1.1 billion), and everyone else (3.2 billion) — the global inequality!!!
This remarkable new Credit Suisse “The Global Wealth Pyramid” posted recently on Twitter by Fabrizio Goria shows the enormous disconnect between what we think is the distribution of wealth in th world and what it actually is.
And here’s a critical view:
Ultra-Super-Rich: 32 million people, representing 0.7% of the world’s adult population, control 41% of the world’s wealth, or about $98.7 trillion.
Super-Rich: 361 million people, representing 7.7% of the world’s adult population, control 42.3% of the world’s wealth, or about $101 trillion.
Rich: 1.1 billion people, representing 22.9% of the world’s adult population, control just 13.7% of the world’s wealth, or about $33 trillion.
Everyone Else: 3.2 billion people, representing 68.7% of the world’s adult population, control just 3% of the world’s wealth, or about $7.3 trillion.
The extreme truth about how wealth is divided globally. This is no accident – those in power write the rules.
