Samsung Bringing Curved Screen Display To Its Smartphones
The world’s best-selling smartphone maker Samsung has announced that it will be rolling out a smartphone with a curved screen starting next month. While the company declined to provide details on the phone’s specs — new handsets will have plastic light-emitting diode (OLED) panels.
South Korean electronics giant exhibited its flexible, bendy and extendable screens, Youm display technology with a curved screen earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
DJ Lee, the company’s mobile business head of strategic marketing , said “We plan to introduce a smartphone with a curved display in South Korea in October”.
Samsung’s rival LG Electronics has also been working on devices with flexible screens.
