Konecranes CEO Anders Svensson to Depart in July 2025
Konecranes has announced that its President and CEO, Anders Svensson, will be stepping down to pursue an opportunity with another company. He is set to remain in his role until his departure on July 19, 2025, ensuring a smooth leadership transition.
Pasi Laine, Chairman of the Board at Konecranes, acknowledged Svensson’s contributions over the past two years, noting that his leadership had played a crucial role in the company’s success. Laine expressed gratitude for Svensson’s efforts and highlighted the significant strides made during his tenure, including a strategic update, improved financial performance, and increased shareholder value. He also conveyed his anticipation of continued collaboration in the coming months.
Reflecting on his time at Konecranes, Svensson remarked that leading the company alongside its dedicated Leadership Team, with full support from the Board of Directors, had been a privilege. He expressed pride in the progress and achievements made in partnership with employees and affirmed his commitment to fulfilling his responsibilities until his departure. Svensson stated that Konecranes is in a strong position and expressed confidence in the company’s workforce to persist in executing its strategic goals with determination.
Earlier in the year, Konecranes integrated its warehouse management and automation teams into a unified division within the Industrial Equipment business segment, further strengthening its operational capabilities.
