Vietnamese Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong’s Son Engaged to Miss World Vietnam Runner-Up Nguyen Phuong Nhi

Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong and his wife, Pham Thu Huong, attended the engagement ceremony of their son, Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, and Nguyen Phuong Nhi, the second runner-up of Miss World Vietnam 2022, on Wednesday.

The couple arrived at Nhi’s family home in Thanh Hoa City, located in northern Vietnam, on Wednesday morning. Vuong was dressed in a black suit, while Huong wore a beautifully embroidered ao dai, a traditional Vietnamese tunic. Both appeared joyful as they prepared to welcome Nhi into their family.

Accompanied by their son, Hoang, the billionaire couple reached Nhi’s home at approximately 8 a.m. The family entered discreetly to avoid drawing attention. The groom’s party included groomsmen carrying traditional trays of wedding gifts designed in the shape of dragons and phoenixes, which symbolize happiness and fulfillment in Vietnamese culture.

For the engagement, Nhi wore an intricately embellished cream-white ao dai, with detailed embroidery on the chest serving as a focal point. The ceremony lasted about an hour, after which the groom’s family, accompanied by security personnel, returned to Hanoi. Nhi later left for her fiancé’s home in Hanoi. The couple has not yet disclosed details about their wedding ceremony.

As of Wednesday, Vuong’s net worth was reported at $4.1 billion by Forbes, cementing his position as Vietnam’s richest man.

Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, 25, is the head of an automobile company, while Nguyen Phuong Nhi, 23, represented Vietnam in the 2023 Miss International contest, where she placed in the top 15. Nhi has previously shared that her parents owned a small business selling household goods.

Prior to her engagement, Nhi had been absent from the public eye for about a year. Her last social media post, made in April of the previous year, sparked rumors that she had left her management company and was preparing for marriage. At the time, her management clarified that she was focusing on her studies at Hanoi Law University.

The engagement marks a significant moment in the union of two prominent Vietnamese families, garnering attention from both local and international media.
