Innovative Traditional Learning

Team Meeting

Background – We have grown and equipped our basics from the traditional system of education. It started with the students staying at the GURUKUL, attaining academics and life lessons from the tutors. Urbanization saw the advent of schools and researchers continue to study the effectiveness of the system on the 1st generation of institutions.

Significance – The progression in the learning facilitation has seen leaps and bounds in the delivery system, out-of-the-box, teaching aids, feedback and monitoring mechanisms. While the traditional system had a sense of memorization and socio-cultural implications, the modern system has a sense of tech-adapt and application.

Under such circumstances, an opinion is shared here in the form of responsible learning at the next level (Fig. 1)

Self- interpretation

Illustration of the interpretation in support is as below:

  1. INTERPERSONAL STRUCTURED LEARNING
I respect the RTE – Right to Education as a fundamental right to every individual. The ancient system prevailing has its own bunch of goodies like the study pattern (D-I-Y principle in the structured syllabus), timeliness, brain power development, positive peer relationships, emotional connect with parent-teachers, scope for physical activities, balancing the curricular and the extra-curricular, developing oneself to be ready-to-deliver even in a general environment with a dash of omnipresent technology.
  2. NON JUDGEMENTAL PARTNER
The AI is the in-thing already penetrating and may become a must for every student practising today. The overdependence on the AI with lesser teacher collaborate, will produce results but with the fixed set of algorithms designed system derived, leaving minimum to nil scope to explore Plan-B (Tech-driven with minimal analytical thinking).
  3. RAISE BAR TO GEN AI
The Gen AI has seen stupendous advantages in the marketing campaigns. However, when put to work in the academic scenario, has put the classroom learning on the back burner. Engaging in technology enabled delivery could significantly reduce the efforts of the teachers but for a teacher, it restricts their academic freedom and a bad thing on their to-do list. Tech adapt is inevitable furtherance to growth of the teacher, institution, and students as a whole.
  4. AI AUGMENTED HYBRID LEARNING
We are here ready to take up the challenge at the global front with an ultra-positive mind-set with a few concerns on being AI adept. The students have already been used to the many teachers to one learner concept and with AI induced hybrid concept, there will be multiplicity of platforms. The differential share of implication of both the systems has to be figured out to make the learning an effective one to all concerned learner beneficiary out in the open world.

Observation – Everyone are independent to assess the two ways looking at this scenario. While some comment on bypassing basics using AI, some others portray it can provide additional resources adjusting pace with the students’ needs. Students find it as an innovative adaptive platform, on the other hand, the teachers’ are getting revamped to automated administrative management at their own pace, keeping scope for the one-to-one guidance.

Basically, integrate AI into the learning environments while addressing challenges responsibly. It is important that the learning delivery and absorption has to be ethical knowledge-sharing, induced transparency with innovation and accessible inclusive education globally.
