Karen Clark Steps In as CEO of Telstra Broadcast Services

Telstra Broadcast Services (TBS) has appointed Karen Clark as its new chief executive officer. Her extensive background in the media, telecommunications, and technology sectors positions her to lead TBS through its next phase of growth. Clark is expected to enhance the company’s offerings for global broadcasters, media firms, and sports organizations by focusing on high-performance media networks and managed services.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Clark most recently served as TBS’s chief revenue officer (CRO), where she oversaw pre-sales, sales, and marketing operations worldwide. She played a crucial role in driving revenue growth and strengthening the company’s position as a trusted provider of media solutions. Her efforts in forming strategic partnerships, including a recent collaboration with BT Media & Broadcast, have enabled TBS to tackle complex industry challenges and distinguish itself through tailored service delivery.

Clark expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, emphasizing her commitment to the company’s growth and innovation. She highlighted the increasing demand for high-performance media solutions and affirmed that TBS remains dedicated to offering customer-centric, fit-for-purpose managed services designed to meet evolving market needs.

A strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, Clark actively participates in initiatives such as Rise and SVGW Women in Sports Production and collaborates with organizations like SMPTE and IBC. As one of the few female leaders in the media technology space, she views diverse perspectives as a cornerstone of organizational success.

Under her leadership, TBS plans to expand its global footprint, introduce 5G-enabled media solutions, and sustain its growth trajectory. Clark also aims to reinforce the company’s commitment to customer success by building on the legacy of her predecessor, Andreas Eriksson, who significantly advanced TBS’s global standing during his tenure.

Reflecting on the company’s recent achievements, Clark acknowledged the importance of continuing its momentum. She stated that the foundations laid in the past five years have been instrumental in fostering innovation, building trust, and delivering bespoke solutions in partnership with clients. Looking ahead, she is eager to capitalize on these successes and position TBS for future growth and industry leadership.
