Flutter Entertainment Moves Primary Listing to NYSE and Appoints New CFO
Flutter Entertainment has officially shifted its primary listing to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), moving from its previous primary listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). Concurrently, the company announced the appointment of Rob Coldrake as Group Chief Financial Officer, replacing Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson with immediate effect.
This strategic move follows a shareholder resolution passed at Flutter’s Annual General Meeting earlier this month. Despite the primary listing change, Flutter’s shares will continue to trade on the LSE’s Main Market under the Standard Listing segment. The Financial Conduct Authority has updated Flutter’s listing category from “Premium Listing (commercial company)” to “Standard Listing (shares)”.
Peter Jackson, CEO of Flutter Entertainment, described the transition as a significant milestone, reflecting the growing importance of the US sports betting and iGaming market to Flutter’s business. He emphasized Flutter’s strong position in the US market, with FanDuel leading as the top operator.
As part of the NYSE listing transition, Rob Coldrake has been appointed as Flutter’s Group CFO, succeeding Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson. This change comes after discussions regarding Edgecliffe-Johnson’s ability to dedicate executive management time in the US, given his family commitments in the UK. The board decided that it was in the company’s best interest for Edgecliffe-Johnson to step down.
Jackson praised Coldrake’s capabilities, stating, “I am delighted that Rob will become our next Group CFO. During his four years at Flutter, he has shown himself to be a CFO of exceptional calibre and his skills and experience will help us to take advantage of the significant opportunities before us.”
Rob Coldrake joined Flutter in 2020 as CFO of Flutter International. His career includes 14 years in various financial roles at TUI Travel and an early career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
John Bryant, Chair of Flutter Entertainment, welcomed Coldrake’s promotion and acknowledged the board’s satisfaction in promoting a high-caliber executive from within the company. He also extended well wishes to Edgecliffe-Johnson for his contributions, particularly in securing the US primary listing.
Flutter Entertainment’s move to the NYSE underscores its commitment to expanding its footprint in the US market. With this transition, Flutter aims to leverage its leading position in the burgeoning US sports betting and iGaming sectors to drive further growth and shareholder value.
